HIMFLUENCE 1.0 is a two-day developmental readiness programme designed to prepare final-year undergraduate male students at the University of Ibadan for life after university. Themed “Prepared for the Next Season,” the programme addresses four critical areas: psychological resilience and emotional intelligence, career readiness, relationship and marital preparedness, and health-conscious living. It confronts the real pressures young Nigerian men face — including the lure of get-rich-quick schemes, gambling, substance abuse, and the silence around mental health — and equips participants with the tools to thrive in their next season. Organised by the Unique Mind Development Foundation and the Human Flourishing Initiative in conjunction with the University of Ibadan, this initiative bridges developmental psychology with real-world application while advancing the university’s mandate for community impact and holistic student development.
