Dr. Astha

Dr. Astha is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Central University of Karnataka, India. She is a recipient of a highly competitive national research fellowship awarded to top psychology scholars in India (UGC-JRF). Her research lies at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, decision-making, psychophysiology, behavioural economics, and mental health, with expertise in EEG and Event-Related Potential (ERP) methodologies. She has authored multiple publications in international peer-reviewed journals, including several Q1-ranked journals, and has presented her work at national and international conferences. Her research spans human decision-making, resilience, occupational stress, trauma, positive health behaviour, and PTSD. Dr. Astha serves as National Coordinator of the Neuro and Biofeedback Society (India) and as a Subject Matter Expert for the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. She has also contributed to international collaborative research projects on human flourishing and continues to mentor emerging researchers in neuroscience-informed psychological science.
